The Yoga & Creativity workshop incorporates mindfulness meditation, gentle restorative yoga, art-making, dreamwork and elements of Pauline Oliveros’s Deep Listening® framework.

No previous experience in any of the elements is necessary. Art materials are provided. The format and emphasis of the workshop will change from month to month.

Yin Yoga to soul music – even better than it sounds.
This class will ease you into a surrender of long delicious, at times supported, postures that help relieve the effects of chronic stress. The entire class is offered with the bonus of soul music to move you through the weekend with a soulful ease.

The combination of Yin yoga with soul music creates the euphoric effect of a deep and regenerative re-connection to the heart and soul.

Soul Sessions is appropriate for all levels including people completely new to yoga.

 

Rest & Digest

Rest & Digest is a restful and restorative workshop which blends Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

The Hatha yoga element includes yoga poses specifically selected to stimulate the body’s parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). The PNS is also known as our “rest and digest” system.

The Yin element will bring the mind and body closer to a state of total relaxation. Yin yoga poses are passive floor poses that work mainly on the lower part of the body.

We finish with Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep. Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, in which the body is completely relaxed.

This workshop is open to everyone and no prior yoga experience is required.

 

Art of Inversions

Join Niamh for this two hour workshop on all things inverted! Niamh will break down the elements required to handstand and safely invert your body in more challenging postures such as forearm balance and headstand. She will teach you how to incorporate them safely into your yoga or movement practice.

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and long-term movement practitioners. In each session we will break down complex patterns of movement into isolated components that will help you to build the strength and integrity needed for fluid full-body movement.

Whether you are new to movement or well-versed in various practices e.g. dance, fitness, yoga, you will learn to approach movement in a more concise way that can help you feel and move better in your body.

We will focus on the sequence of Sun Salutations, and on fundamental Yoga poses that you can use as building blocks in your practice.
